Soulful electronica from Balthazar's frontman
With the country’s favorite rock band Balthazar temporarily “on hold”, the time was ripe for frontman Jinte Deprez to present us with some solo work. We all pretty much assumed the man’s project would reflect his boundless talent. However, no one really expected it to sound so damn soulful and retro-electronic at the same time. J. Bernardt draws inspiration from his own pop sensibilities as well as his father’s Kraftwerk records and creates warm and yet minimal RnB that seduces us in a way only Chet Faker and Jamie Woon did before.
